An air raid carried out by NATO forces in the Tagab district of the
eastern Kapisa province in Afghanistan resulted in at least three
civilian deaths and four injuries.
The provincial council representative for the eastern Kapisa province stated that the air raid, conducted by French troops, resulted in two children being among the casualties, according to Khwaja Ghulam Mohammad Zmarai, the deputy provincial council for the Kapisa province, Khaama reports.
Zmarai stated that the French troops had received inaccurate intelligence from local residents as to the presence of suspected Taliban militants.
Security officials from the Kapisa province reportedly confirmed the reports and the deaths of the children, although they said that no civilians were injured which conflicts with Zmarai’s report of four residents of Joibar being injured.
Earlier this month it was reported that a NATO airstrike killed eight children, also in the Kapisa province.

Earlier this month it was reported that a NATO airstrike killed eight children, also in the Kapisa province.
In an official statement, Afghan president Hamid Karzai said he “strongly condemned the aerial bombing by foreign troops that killed a number of children in Nejrab district.”
This resulted in Karzai assigning a delegation to launch an inquiry into the NATO bombing while a NATO spokesman said he could “confirm there has been a situation.”
Following the earlier bombing, the Afghan House of Representatives summoned the Afghan Interior Ministry to brief Afghan MPs on the tragic incident.
This latest incident comes as protests in Afghanistan rage on in the wake of the burning of Qurans at a Western military base.
The protests have turned bloody multiple times, with seven American
military trainers reportedly injured today when demonstrators in the
northern Kunduz area of Afghanistan threw a grenade at the NATO base.
Provincial police chief Samihullah Qatra told reporters about the wounded soldiers but the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) would only confirm the explosion and would not comment on injuries or casualties.
The situation in Afghanistan just gets uglier by the day and after what seems like an endless fight we have made no progress whatsoever in the eyes of many Afghans.
It makes absolutely no sense to continue to put Americans in the line of fire along with the people of Afghanistan in the name of the failed “War on Terror.”
The fact that the United States is absolutely broke just reinforces this, but unfortunately there is no indication that our government has any interest in stopping this horrific endeavor any time soon.
Indeed, this is made very clear by the actions of the American government, including the decision to deploy a cutting edge drone to Afghanistan even though we are supposedly going to leave in just two years.
I have attempted to make it clear to my readers that the true interest is not to stop terrorism or bring peace to the region but is actually to ensure perpetual war and thus perpetual profits for the exceedingly criminal war profiteers who play a disgustingly large role in how our government operates abroad.
