Those "Crazy 9/11 Conspiracies" again

From: The Promethean Post

Michael Anthony - Editor of Promethean Post

This piece is no way an attempt to report any of the millions of facts, cases and details regarding the countless problems with the "official" story of the events of 9/11. There are enough thoroughly researched and well documented books, studies, and documentary films that have already done so with great success. It is rather a wake up call for those who simply refuse or have trouble believing that there is more to the story. The following article, 9/11 and the Orwellian Redefinition of "Conspiracy Theory" by Paul Craig Roberts eloquently addresses how the corporate media’s response to facts about 9/11 that don’t support the accepted “official” story of the government are continuously disregarded as “wild conspiracy theories”. Instead of addressing the considerable amount of facts and evidence amassed by credible experts, the corporate establishment media continuously attempts to ridicule and discredit those who speak out about them in an effort to dogmatically reinforce the government's story. Please note that Paul Craig Roberts is not a "conspiracy theorist", he actually served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for the Reagan administration and has been an editor and columnist for The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Scripps Howard News Service. He has written and co-written eight books, contributed numerous chapters and articles to other books and has been published by many journals of scholarship. To quote Roberts directly,
“A ‘conspiracy theory’ no longer means an event explained by a conspiracy.  Instead, it now means any explanation, or even a fact, that is out of step with the government’s explanation and that of its media pimps.”

“The purest example of how Americans are shielded from truth is the media’s (including many Internet sites’) response to the large number of professionals who find the official explanation of September 11, 2001, inconsistent with everything they, as experts, know about physics, chemistry, structural engineering, architecture, fires, structural damage, the piloting of airplanes, the security procedures of the United States, NORAD’s capabilities, air traffic control, airport security, and other matters.  These experts, numbering in the thousands, have been shouted down by know-nothings in the media who brand the experts as ‘conspiracy theorists.’”

With any intelligent analysis of the facts alone, anybody capable of critical thinking can surmise that the official story we’ve been given severely lacks credibility. Independent journalist, James Corbett of The Corbett Report did an excellent job of summing up the utter ineptitude of the official story in a 5 minute video, which I have posted to the left. The complete refusal by the powers that be to address such issues and the outright denial of their existence only adds fuel to the fire. Blindly believing in the “official” story regardless of the countless facts that disprove its possibility seems almost like a religious dogma being preached to the easily controlled masses. It’s nothing but a fear-based system of control. Most people tend to conform because they are scared to be labeled a “conspiracy kook” or “conspiracy nut” or simply don’t have the time or care to look into these subjects. It is obvious that the media keeps people in fear of speaking up when things don’t make sense, the fear of ridicule and being politically outcast from society is indeed a powerful one. If only more people understood the real meaning of the word conspiracy, perhaps they would not be so reluctant to admit that they do exist in every aspect of our society and they always have. To quote the words of Jim Marrs in his underground bestseller, Rule By Secrecy

“The concept of conspiracy has long been anathema to most Americans, who have been conditioned by the mass media to believe that conspiracies against the public only exist in banana republics or communist nations. This simplistic view, encouraged by a media devoted to maintaining a squeaky-clean image of the status quo, fails to take into account human history or the subtleties of the word conspiracy. The word conspiracy is derived from the Latin word conspirare, literally meaning to breathe together, to act or think in harmony. In modern times, conspiracy has taken on a sinister connotation. Most dictionaries now offer two definitions of the word: 1) To plan together secretly, especially to commit an illegal or evil act, or 2) To plan or plot secretly. One definition is vile, the other less so.”

Human history is riddled with real conspiracies. Anyone who has studied history knows that secrecy and conspiracies have been the connecting link found throughout man’s past. Anthony C. Sutton, a London-born economics professor, critically acclaimed author and research fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute commented that an

Establishment history dominates textbooks, publishing, the media, and library shelves. During the past one hundred years any theory of history or historical evidence that falls outside a pattern established by the American Historical Association and the major foundations with their grant-making power has been attacked or rejected” regardless of their academic merit or credibility “not on the basis of any evidence presented, but on the basis of acceptability of the arguments to the so-called Eastern Liberal Establishment, and its official historical line.”

As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, we’re going to be bombarded with constant reinforcement of the main line “official” story. More than ever before, the anniversary of terror will undoubtedly be used to catapult the propaganda surrounding this event by rallying around the flag and calling in to question anyone who dares to say that there might be something other than what we’ve been told happening behind the scenes regarding the events of 9/11. Once again people will be herded in front of their big brother, propaganda box as the establishment media will try its best to reassure people that everything is fine and that the world is a better place because we have started all of these wars as a result of 9/11 and anyone who has any questions about the events of that day is just a crazy “conspiracy theorist”.

We are already seeing the beginnings of the waves from every avenue of the establishment media organizations. From ABC to FOX to CNN, more and more stories focusing on the terror of that day and the many people it affected are being reported. As for addressing anything about the story of the millions of credible people (including demolition experts, scientists, architects, structural engineers, pilots, first-responders, eye-witnesses, researchers, and whistle-blowers) who have compiled massive amounts of evidence that embarrassingly disprove the “official” report of the severely flawed 9/11 commission, we will hear an eerie silence.

However, NPR recently dedicated a sickening, hour long radio show to the “crazy conspiracy theorist” and how some still believe that there are questions about 9/11 despite the “concrete facts and investigations that the government has put forth laying these crazy conspiracy theories to rest." As can be expected, they managed to avoid talking about any of these so-called facts that disprove the silly theories and spent almost the entire show trying to examine “the psychology of the conspiracy theorist and why they make up these silly "theories.” They gave the majority of the speaking time to two so-called skeptics (James Meigs and Jonathan Kay) who are really just mainstream mouthpieces that swallow every government lie, enforce the status quo and expect you to do the same. Finally the last 4 minutes of speaking time were given to Kevin Ryan, a representative of the 9/11 truth movement. Despite the overwhelming bias of this one-sided program, Kevin Ryan actually made a valiant effort to make his case. This laughable excuse for journalism is what we are constantly being peddled from the corporate, establishment media that some people still swear by out of comfort or simply because they’re unaware of the many alternative media options that present real, open-source information, totally unfiltered and free from corporate advertisers.

Thanks to the internet and the dedicated and growing alternative news movement, it is becoming easier to find truth and inform people about what is really occurring all over the world, free of the spin and disinformation. As a result, people are getting fed up with all the wars, corruption and lies and are waking up now more than ever to the realities that we face. Unfortunately, the controlling elite knows this and they’re going to continue to play on human emotions by injecting more fear into society in an attempt to keep us divided, confused and ignorant to real truths. Maybe we’ll see another orchestrated, false-flag attack. President Obama recently mentioned that we’re already preparing our defenses for a "lone wolf" terrorist attack on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, much like the recent Norway massacre.
Whatever happens, we need to keep our eyes and our minds opened and not so easily dismiss people who raise questions and address facts that don’t fit the official story as “conspiracy theorists” and “conspiracy theories.”
